A BILL to repeal §21-5A-1, §21-5A-2, §21-5A-3, §21-5A-5, §21-5A-6, §21-5A-7, §21-5A-8, §21-5A-9, §21-5A-10, §21-5A-11 and §21-5A-12 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, all relating to repealing prevailing hourly rate of wages requirements by or on behalf of public authorities engaged in construction of public improvements.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


That §21-5A-1, §21-5A-2, §21-5A-3, §21-5A-5, §21-5A-6, §21-5A-7, §21-5A-8, §21-5A-9, §21-5A-10, §21-5A-11 and §21-5A-12 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be repealed.

ARTICLE 5A. WAGES FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS


§1.  Repeal of article relating to wages for construction of public improvements.

§21-5A-1, §21-5A-2, §21-5A-3, §21-5A-5, §21-5A-6, §21-5A-7, §21-5A-8, §21-5A-9, §21-5A-10, §21-5A-11 and §21-5A-12 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, are hereby repealed.


NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to repeal the article requiring public authorities engaged in the construction of public improvements to pay a prevailing hourly rate of wages.
